Study: fetuses show consciousness in second half of pregnancy

February 11, 2026 in Biology, Personhood, Research, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

Do fetuses have sensory experiences? In the ongoing discussions about fetal pain and fetal consciousness, some groups have argued fetuses have no sensory experiences throughout all of pregnancy. They say the neuroinhibitors in fetal blood continually sedate them, so they aren’t likely to experience pain (or anything else) until they’re born. Some abortion advocates use […]

What results is basically a week-long national pro-life reunion, with lots of opportunities for networking and collaboration. In years past I’ve represented Secular Pro-Life by myself, but now that Herb Geraghty is on SPL’s team, we were able to cover twice […]

PRCs use AI to help women; critics call this “science fiction horror”

January 7, 2026 in Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

Recently USA Today published the op-ed Terrifying chatbot is here to talk women out of abortions in which author Sara Pequeño warns that pregnancy centers are starting to use an AI chatbot called “Olive” in their work. Pequeño reminds us that tech companies behind these AI options are “controlled by humans with biases.” But Pequeño’s […]

Happy New Year! We’re hitting the ground running. On Feb 28, I’ll be presenting Building Bridges to hundreds of medical professionals at the AAPLOG conference in Seattle.
