We’re going where we’re most needed
One of the ways that Secular Pro-Life gets our message out around the country is by speaking at events. Over time, we’ve developed two distinct areas of expertise.
1) Pro-choice audiences
First, we take the conversation right to where it is most needed – liberal college campuses and other spaces that are less likely to be friendly to the pro-life message.
We make a compelling (always secular) case against elective abortion, engaging directly with students who often have never encountered a pro-life argument outside of a purely religious framework. In these settings, we’re also able to confront pro-abortion talking points head-on through structured debates and long-form Q&As.
These can sometimes be challenging and unwelcoming spaces for pro-lifers, but they’re exactly where we need to be if we want to change minds. Personally, I thrive in these environments – probably because I don’t mind letting people know that they’re wrong to their face.
2) Pro-life audiences
Second, we speak at pro-life conferences and events to train attendees to become more effective advocates in their own communities. We focus on both online and in-person dialogue, equipping people to engage thoughtfully and persuasively with pro-choice peers.
That includes not just the strongest arguments, but also the interpersonal skills needed to build trust and actually change minds.
In the past, we’ve also adapted our presentations for a wide range of audiences including students, medical professionals, and pregnancy center volunteers.
Help us get the word out:
We rely on supporters like you to help us get connected to these opportunities. If you know of a campus group, local organization, or pro-life conference that may be looking to book speakers, we would love for you to pass along our information.
