Secular Pro-Life is hitting the streets, again

April 8, 2026/in Administrative, SPL Emails, Uncategorized /by Herb Geraghty

I believe that one of the most important parts of our work at Secular Pro-Life is simply showing up – being visible and making it clear that the pro-life movement is bigger and broader than many people would like to believe.

March with us in Pittsburgh, PA

Our next opportunity to make our voices heard will be on Saturday, April 18th, at the first-ever Pittsburgh Pro-Life March.

This one is especially exciting for me, because Pittsburgh is where I first got involved in the movement as a student leader in the University of Pittsburgh’s pro-life club (shout out to Choose Life at Pitt which is still going strong!). If you’ll be in the area, I would love for you to join us.

We’ll be meeting at the rally location at Schenley Plaza at 10:00 AM.

The evening before the march (April 17th), Secular Pro-Life will also be hosting a sign-making party in the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh. If you’d like to join us for that, just send me an email at herb@secularprolife.org and I’ll send you the details.

Why we keep showing up

Every time we step into these public spaces, we help shift the narrative and demonstrate that people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and political perspectives can stand for human rights in the womb.

When we show up as openly secular pro-lifers, we’re helping reshape a culture that often frames this issue as exclusively religious or partisan. We’re proud to stand alongside anyone who shares the goal of protecting vulnerable human beings, and we believe that broad, diverse representation makes our movement stronger and more effective.

I want you to know that this impact is only possible because of your support. Your encouragement, your donations, and your belief in our mission are what allow us to be out there.

I expect that between gas, tolls, printing, sign making supplies, and a couple of coffees on the way this trip will cost us about $230. Would you consider helping cover part of that with a tax-deductible gift to Secular Pro-Life?

Donate to Travel Costs

Because of you, we are able to show up, speak out, and make sure that the secular voice for life is heard.

Thank you for being part of this work with us.
