TOMORROW: #ProtestPP across the nation!

February 10, 2017/0 Comments/in Uncategorized /by Kelsey Hazzard

Tomorrow, February 11, advocates across the United States will come together to demand an end to taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.

The reasons are legion. Planned Parenthood has been caught lying to women about prenatal development. It has defrauded Medicaid in multiple states. It doesn’t take statutory rape and sex trafficking of minors seriously. It alters abortion procedures to get intact organs from the victims. It gins up good PR by claiming to provide services it actually doesn’t (i.e., mammograms and prenatal care), and its provision of legitimate health care like contraception is on the decline.

And, of course, Planned Parenthood is the nation’s top killer of unborn children, committing over 300,000 abortions annually.

Women will be much better served when Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding is redirected to one of the thousands of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that provide comprehensive, affordable care for low-income Americans. Let us join together and make our voices heard for women’s health! Find your protest location here.

And special note to our Bay area supporters: SPL’s very own Terrisa Bukovinac will speak at the San Francisco #ProtestPP! It will be held in front of the Planned Parenthood at 1650 Valencia Street starting at noon.

As the national conversation on abortion intensifies, it’s more important than ever that we demonstrate that anyone can–and everyone should–oppose abortion. Thanks to you, we are working to change minds, transform our culture, and protect our prenatal children.
