February 9, 2024 in Administrative, Pro-Life Demographics, Speeches, Discussions, Presentations, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

Podcast Teaser: “We don’t want people to think, ‘the only way you can be pro-life is to register Republican and convert to Catholicism’. We want people to think ‘everybody can be pro-life’. You can be pro-life right where you are right now. You don’t have to change anything about the rest of your life to […]

The March for Life weekend was a boon for us.

January 24, 2024 in Administrative /by Monica Snyder

I wrapped up the March for Life weekend on Sunday. It was exhausting but incredibly productive. I attended a networking event on Thursday; the Rehumanize meetup, March for Life, and MFL Rose Dinner on Friday; National Pro-Life Summit followed by dinner with Equal Rights Institute on Saturday; and another collaborative breakfast on Sunday before heading […]

Is Opposing Abortion “Religious Extremism”?

January 12, 2024 in Administrative, Religion, Speeches, Discussions, Presentations, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

Special thanks to volunteer Virginia Pride for transcribing! Want to help out? Fill out our volunteer survey. TRANSCRIPT:  “Stop pushing your religion!” “This is not a theocracy.” “Keep your rosaries off my ovaries.” These pro-choice slogans reference a common idea: that opposing abortion is a purely religious belief and therefore has no place in a […]

No, courts did not say Texas can ban emergency abortions

January 8, 2024 in Legislation, laws, & court cases, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

I’ve recently been seeing headlines like these: On January 2, 2024, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Texas v Becerra, a case about what the federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) can require of hospitals. And no, the court did not say Texas can ban emergency abortions. EMTALA requires Medicare-accepting […]

We posed this question to our followers on social media: You’re at your in-laws for Christmas dinner when your spouse’s cousin, in front of everyone, asks you to explain why you’re against abortion. How do you respond? Here are a few of the top responses, lightly edited for clarity. Josh P.: “Killing babies is bad, […]

Kate Cox, Trisomy 18, and the Texas abortion law

December 11, 2023 in Legislation, laws, & court cases, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

I’ve seen quite a few people asking about the Kate Cox case. This tweet in particular caught my eye: Summary of Kate Cox case If you don’t already know, Kate Cox is a woman a little over 20 weeks pregnant with a little girl with Trisomy 18. Trisomy 18, also known as Edward’s Syndrome, is […]

azcentral: Therapists are ill-equipped to treat abortion-related trauma

December 11, 2023 in Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

azcentral recently published Many women struggle mentally after an abortion. Few counselors know how to help. The whole piece is worth the read, but here are some key excerpts: Melanie opened up about the anxiety and anguish she still felt over the abortion decision. As an atheist woman in her 30s with her whole life in […]
