Today, somewhere on one of our social media platforms, someone made a comment about how no one really believes that embryos are “real” humans. Guys, yes, we do.
I’ve miscarried two embryos. I grieved them very deeply as my lost children. I get that a lot of people don’t think of embryos as real humans. I’m not pretending that everyone thinks that, but it is nuts for you to think that literally no one thinks that. It’s not an unusual thing to think.
Human embryos are biological offspring. They’re members of our species. Countless parents, especially pregnant women, have felt very attached, have felt love, have felt parental affection very early in their pregnancies. That’s not an unusual thing.
Don’t confuse the fact that you don’t think an embryo is a real human with the idea that nobody does.
