Join us THIS FRIDAY at the March for Life!

January 16, 2023/0 Comments/in Uncategorized /by Kelsey Hazzard

Update 1/18/23: more events added

This weekend SPL reps will be at several pro-life events. If you’re around please come say hi!

January 19, 7-9pm, The National Press Club, 529 14th St NW

“Reframing Agency: Rights and Responsibilities in Contemporary Sex Culture” – We will be attending this discussion between Erika Bachiochi (author of “The Rights of Women: Reclaiming a Lost Vision”) and Christine Emba (author of “Rethinking Sex: A Provocation”), moderated by New Wave Feminists’ Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa. Get your tickets here (recommended donation is $10).

January 20, 10:30am, Constitution & 12th

Rehumanize International Meet Up: Look for the bright blue Secular Pro-Life banner at the corner of Constitution and 12th. The meetup will feature numerous speakers, including Secular Pro-Life president Kelsey Hazzard and executive director Monica Snyder.

January 20, 12pm, National Mall

This year’s March for Life theme is “Next Steps: Marching Forward into a Post-Roe America.” We will march to the U.S. Capitol Building to demand equal protection for human beings in the womb. This is a change from previous years, when we marched to the Supreme Court. This is a new route for a new era, recognizing that Dobbs is only one stepping stone to fulfilling our nation’s promise of justice for all. We hope you will join us for this historic event!

January 20, 8:30pm, Omni Shoreham Diplomat Ballroom, 2500 Calvert St NW

Join us for a screening of “Battleground,” a documentary created by a pro-choice filmmaker interviewing and observing three prominent women in the pro-life movement: SFLA’s Kristan Hawkins, SBA List’s Marjorie Dannenfelser, and SPL Vice President (founder of PAAU) Terrisa Bukovinac. All three women will hold a panel discussion about the documentary. This event is FREE. Register here.

It’s crucial that we demonstrate that anyone can–and everyone should–oppose abortion. Thanks to you, we are working to change minds, transform our culture, and protect our prenatal children. Every donation supports our ability to provide nonsectarian, nonpartisan arguments against abortion. Read more details here. Please donate today.
