A Brand New SPL Presentation: Secular Post-Abortion Healing In July 2025, they asked me to speak during their monthly webinar regarding healing for secular people who have experienced abortion. When abortion clinics close and pro-choice PRCs open

October 8, 2025 in Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

Today’s blog post is co-written by Monica Snyder and Virginia Pride. What do abortion clinics do when abortion is banned? When Roe vs Wade was overturned by Dobbs in 2022, several states had “trigger laws” which automatically restricted abortions beyond certain gestations. Many abortion clinics offer other services such as contraception and STD testing, but […]

Livestream Recap: Behind the doors of the Washington Surgi-Clinic

September 29, 2025 in Later Abortion, Livestream Recaps, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

Recently Herb Geraghty and I livestreamed our discussion of the “all trimester” Washington Surgi-Clinic in Washington, D.C. As of the writing of this post (mid-September, 2025), the clinic has apparently ceased doing abortions. DC Health told Live Action that the clinic’s license expired in mid-August and wasn’t renewed, although clinic staff have apparently said they […]

Recap: Samaritan Summit

September 26, 2025 in Administrative, Speeches, Discussions, Presentations, SPL Emails, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

I spent the first half of this week in Florida at the Samaritan Summit, a conference for PRC staff and volunteers. It was great. For those of you who couldn’t join, here’s a quick recap. The Storytelling Symposium helps pro-lifers find their voice. Earlier this year, SPL partnered with Abortion Survivors Network and Leadership Institute […]

ProPublica identifies their medical experts a little too subtly.

September 24, 2025 in Debunking, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

ProPublica has published quite a few viral articles about pregnant women dying in pro-life states, particularly Texas. The outlet frames these stories as the fault of abortion restrictions, suggesting these women died because medical professionals are too scared or confused by abortion laws to offer life-saving interventions. These are the denial-of-care stories. We’ve spent a […]

“I’d love to know what you think.” Opposing protesters dialogue.

September 17, 2025 in Dialogue strategy, Uncategorized, Your Stories /by Monica Snyder

Last year, SPL surveyed people about which clinical scenarios they’d consider abortions. This year, I published a very detailed analysis of the results, especially considering pro-choice and pro-life people’s differing understandings of abortion, and how we can use this information to have clearer, better conversations. We discussed these results in our livestream “Abortion Across the […]

LIVESTREAM: Behind the Doors of the Washington Surgi-Clinic

September 13, 2025 in Administrative, SPL Emails /by Monica Snyder

Replay: Behind the doors of the Washington Surgi-Clinic Hi All – The “all trimester” Washington Surgi-Clinic has come up recently because, at least at the moment, they seem to have stopped performing late-term abortions. SPL has particular history with activism related to the Surgi clinic. When I was 28 weeks pregnant with my daughter Ruby, I […]
