Virginia March for Life recap: momentum is building
Hey all –
Last week we made our voices heard at the Virginia March for Life.
With an extreme pro-abortion amendment on the ballot this November, Secular Pro-Life has been on the ground in VA working to build relationships, mobilize people, and equip advocates to win this fight.
The Virginia March for Life gave us an opportunity to bring that work together. We connected with pro-lifers from across the state who are ready to step up to protect unborn children and their mothers from the abortion industry.

Here’s a quick recap of our packed schedule:
Pre-March Training
We kicked things off with a conversation training alongside our friends at Virginia for Preborn Justice. We helped attendees understand the real implications of the amendment and how to talk about it in ways that resonate – especially with flippable moderate pro-choicers.
Alt Pro-Lifers Meetup
Before the march, we created a space where pro-lifers who challenge the stereotypes and don’t always feel at home in the movement could connect with each other. It was a chance to build community and head into the day with purpose.

Marching for Life
We showed up – representing a broader, more diverse pro-life movement and building connections with advocates from across the state and national leaders working to stop this amendment.

One of our volunteers, Melissa, even represented non-traditional pro-lifers on the local news that aired in Richmond the evening of the march – you can watch the clip here. Secular Pro-Life is out there representing not just the pro-life movement as it exists, but expanding it – showing people new possibilities for what pro-lifers can look like and believe, and inviting all kinds of people to step into this work.
Virginia Beyond Abortion Panel + Trainings
After the march, we didn’t stop. I joined a panel hosted by Virginia for Preborn Justice where we discussed how to build pro-life power in our communities. Afterward, we participated in trainings focused on what comes next – from political engagement to community building to having better, more productive conversations in pro-choice spaces.
Attendees left with real next steps, new connections, and a clearer sense of how to stay engaged between now and the election.

As always, your support is what makes our work possible.
We do everything we can to keep costs low – relying on host homes, carpooling, and stretching every dollar so your donations can go as far as possible. Because of that, this entire Virginia trip – multiple events, trainings, and on-the-ground organizing – cost us about $270.
If you appreciate this work and want to help us keep showing up where it matters most, please consider donating today.

If you appreciate our work and would like to help, one of the most effective ways to do so is to become a monthly donor. You can also give a one-time donation here or volunteer with us here.
