An Audience-Specific Presentation
Secular Pro-Life’s Building Bridges presentation equips pro-life advocates to communicate more effectively with people who don’t already agree with them. We focus on practical strategies for connection, clarity, and persuasion across ideological lines.
We have delivered this presentation to a wide range of groups, including:
- Students and campus groups
- Young pro-life advocates, especially in politically “blue” states
- Pregnancy resource center staff and volunteers
- Pro-life doctors, nurses, and medical professionals
We can optimize the content for the audience.
Three Key Groups
The original version of Building Bridges includes modules on how to connect to three key groups:
- Abortion-vulnerable women
- Moderate pro-choicers
- Non-traditional pro-lifers
We break down key traits about each group and concrete strategies for effective communication.
We at Secular Pro-Life designed Building Bridges primarily for more “traditional” (i.e. conservative Christian) pro-lifers. We’ve interviewed PRC directors, pro-life OBGYNs, and experts in post-abortion healing. We incorporated our own knowledge and experience as secular people working alongside a largely religious movement. And we honed Building Bridges by asking some of our Christian allies to review the content and let us know if our main points were translating appropriately to our target audience.
Modular and Customizable
We can adapt Bridges to your audience and event. Options include:
- Focusing on one, two, or all three key groups
- Adjusting tone and examples for medical, PRC, student, or advocacy audiences
- Presenting in 30-, 45-, 60-, or 90-minute formats. (For more in-depth training, consider our Bridges Intensive.)
Whether your audience is new to pro-life advocacy or highly experienced, we can meet them where they are.
Many pro-life advocates know what they believe but struggle with how to communicate it in diverse or skeptical environments. Building Bridges provides tools to engage thoughtfully, reduce defensiveness, and open real conversations.
If you’re interested in bringing Building Bridges to your audience, contact us to discuss your goals and customize the experience.
