Pittsburgh Pro-Life March recap
Hi all –
Last week, Secular Pro-Life participated in the first ever Pittsburgh Pro-Life March.
Here’s the recap:
Sign making party
We kicked things off with a sign-making party the night before the march. We’ve started hosting these get-togethers before big events whenever we can because they’ve proven to be a great opportunity to build community and prepare for the day ahead.

Marching
The next day at the march, we were able to connect with people from across Western PA – longtime supporters & volunteers, new faces, and people who had never heard of Secular Pro-Life before and hadn’t yet considered that you don’t need religion to be pro-life.
Every time we show up at these events, it’s so encouraging to see how many people are excited that we’re out here bringing a different and much needed perspective into the movement.
Here’s a picture of some of our crew:

The next generation
One of the highlights of the march for me was reconnecting with students in the University of Pittsburgh’s pro-life student group, Choose Life at Pitt, which was first pro-life group I joined over a decade ago.
It was awesome getting to see the students who came after me carrying the work forward. This group picture doesn’t even capture all of their members working to build a culture of life on campus and beyond.

When we show up in these spaces, we are expanding what people think it means to be pro-life. A visible and loud secular pro-life voice makes it impossible to ignore the reality that abortion is a human rights issue that reaches far beyond any one religion or political identity.
I’m so grateful that I get to do this work thanks to support from every day people like you.
When we travel, we always try to keep costs low so that your donations can go as far as possible. This time I was able to stay in a generous host home so this trip cost us only $210.
If you value our voice, would you please consider donating to our travel fund so that we can continue to get the message out there?
Thanks so much,
Herb

If you appreciate our work and would like to help, one of the most effective ways to do so is to become a monthly donor. You can also give a one-time donation here or volunteer with us here.
