Recap: Central Virginia Beyond Abortion
Hi All –
Last week, Secular Pro-Life was on the ground in central Virginia – partnering with local leaders to educate communities about abortion.
This is especially important right now because they have a pro-abortion constitutional amendment heading to the ballot this November. Across multiple events, we had the opportunity to engage people: answering questions, clarifying what the amendment would do, and equipping everyday advocates to speak about abortion in ways that are persuasive, informed, and compassionate.

In addition to our formal trainings, while we were in town we connected with friends and supporters, participated in morning mutual aid outreach events, and visited the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center, which serves the Lynchburg community.
We toured their facility and met with their Executive Director, who we first connected with at the Save the Storks conference last year, when Monica delivered her Building Bridges training. It was encouraging to see the real, tangible support available to women and families and to strengthen partnerships with people doing this work every day.

We also recorded extensive new content designed to train even more people to communicate effectively about abortion in their own communities – so keep an eye out for that.
During our Friday night in-person training, we received thoughtful feedback from participants who are already putting these tools into action. Here’s what some attendees had to say:
My favorite aspect of the presentation was the data + communicating the misinformation and lies that are presented regarding abortion.
I really enjoyed the whole thing. I don’t have a favorite part because the whole thing was quite informative, motivational, and inspiring.
Where to improve? Nothing, it was amazing!

We love doing this work. Help us keep doing it.
Peace,
Herb Geraghty
