LIVESTREAM: personal stories & policy gaps around miscarriage

July 23, 2025/in Administrative, Miscarriage & Pregnancy Loss, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

If you missed the event, you can still access the replay link here:

,

[Reprinted from our email newsletter.]

Hi All,

Last week I emailed you about SPL’s proposed policy for hospitals to better support parents experiencing miscarriage.

The same news stories that inspired us to create that policy moved me to reach out to my friend Leah Sargeant to talk about our own miscarriages—and the support we wish we’d had.

We’re streaming Friday, July 25, at 7:30 pm CT / 8:30 pm ET.

If you’re looking for honesty about pregnancy loss and how to help, join us.

What you’ll learn:

  • How denial, panic, and a lack of options can lead to decisions parents later regret
  • The role of medical training (or lack thereof) in perpetuating either helpful or unhelpful responses to miscarriage
  • How advocacy at the local level can create cultural and systemic change

By the way, if you can’t make it live, it’s no problem. Everyone who registers will get a follow up email with the replay link.

Talk soon,

Monica
