TOMORROW: Understanding “abortion” across the aisle

May 14, 2025/in Administrative, Uncategorized /by Monica Snyder

All –

Herb Geraghty (SPL’s Chief Communications Officer) and I are livestreaming an important discussion TOMORROW (Thursday, May 15). If you’re sick of trading bumper stickers with pro-choicers, you don’t want to miss this.

Last fall SPL conducted a survey asking people to consider 32 scenarios and assess whether each one was (1) an abortion and (2) ethical. The responses were fascinating.

During this exclusive event, we’ll walk through the results and unpack what they mean for our movement.

Join Herb and me as we look at the data and dig into three key questions:

  • How do pro-choicers and pro-lifers define “abortion” differently?
  • How do these definitions shape (and derail) our conversations?
  • What can we do to connect more clearly and communicate more persuasively?

At SPL, we want everyone to be pro-life. That means meeting people where they are—including in their language—and connecting to them with clarity and thoughtfulness. We’re not interested in wasting time talking past each other.

Sharpen your communication skills for conversations that actually go somewhere.

We’re streaming Thursday, May 15, at 7:30p CST/8:30p EST. Join us.

See you there,
