Meet Becca, Our Volunteer Coordinator
Secular Pro-Life exists because of volunteers.
In 2009, SPL began as a work of heart for our founder (Kelsey), myself, and a select few others. Today our organization benefits from the knowledge, time, and talents of dozens of volunteers, which is why, despite our shoestring budget, our content is viewed over a million times per month!
We have so much help, in fact, that I can no longer keep everyone moving forward by myself. So I’m delighted to announce that we have hired a volunteer coordinator!
Meet Becca Rupp.
I met Becca when she donated $5 to SPL and I messaged her to thank her and ask her why. She responded with a small novel of the reasons she loves our work and wants to help. This conversation began both our friendship and working relationship that culminated in her running our Instagram account with consistency and insight (saving me an enormous amount of time in the process).
When it became clear that SPL not only needs but also has the ability to hire a volunteer coordinator, Becca was a natural choice. She has bachelors degrees in International Studies and History as well as a Masters in Education. She has experience supervising large groups, working for nonprofits, and volunteering with pregnancy resource centers. And, importantly, she loves Secular Pro-Life and is eager to see us thrive.
Volunteers, introduce yourselves!
Whether you help us out every week or once a year (or haven’t helped us out yet but think you’d like to start) please:
This will help Becca start to organize our contacts and learn about your various availabilities, skills, and interests. If you have previously volunteered with us, please describe your role(s) in answer to the question “Is there anything else you’d like us to know?”
(You do not need to take the survey if you’ve taken it previously.)
And if you can’t volunteer but would still like to support us, here are a variety of ways to donate. You can also donate quickly and easily here:
We are able to hire Becca and step into this next phase because of our generous donors. Thank you so much for all of your help.
