#WhyWeMarch and how you can help

January 16, 2026/in SPL Emails, Uncategorized /by Herb Geraghty

Hey All –

We are only a little over one week away from the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. – keep reading to find out #WhyWeMarch.

Community

For our team, the March for Life is one of the most important opportunities we have to connect with other secular and non-traditional pro-lifers.

I know when I first attended the March for Life as a college student just getting started in the movement, how meaningful it was for me to get to meet and march with other pro-lifers like me.

For many of the people we are connecting with, it may be their first major pro-life event too. Our “Alt” Pro-Lifers Meet-Up helps our people create community, feel less alone, and find their place within this movement.

If you’ll be in the area, we would love for you to join us. We’ll be meeting at 12 PM at Constitution and 7th the morning of the march.

Coalition Building

The events in town surrounding the March for Life also give us critical opportunities to build relationships with mainstream pro-life leaders and organizations.

This year, Monica and I will both be speaking at the Pro-Life Advocates Conference the day before the march (this event is free to attend BTW, register here). Events like this allow us to connect with pro-life leaders from across the country, strengthen existing relationships, and spark new collaborations.

In past years, relationships built at these events have led directly to new partnerships and projects that expanded Secular Pro-Life’s reach and influence.

Media Outreach

The March for Life is one of the highest-impact media moments of the year for the pro-life movement. When national outlets are paying attention secular pro-life voices must be visible and ready to represent.

When we show up, we challenge the assumption that the pro-life cause belongs only to one religious or political group.

That presence helps strengthen the entire movement.

If you can’t make it to Washington, D.C., we’re asking you to help make this work possible. Travel, lodging, and outreach materials all come with real costs. Your donation helps ensure that Secular Pro-Life can continue showing up, building bridges, and representing secular voices at one of the most important pro-life events of the year.

Your support directly powers our ability to connect, mobilize, and make the case for life.

We estimate that between flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and other associated costs this trip will cost $3100.

Can you chip-in to help cover our 2026 March for Life costs?
