Justice for the Five Week of Action
March 25th marks the three-year anniversary of when Secular Pro-Life board member and PAAU Founder Terrisa Bukovinac, along with Lauren Handy, recovered the remains of 115 abortion victims in Washington DC. As you may know, 110 of those babies received a burial shortly after the discovery. However, five of the children had injuries that suggested potential violations of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act or the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.
Three years later, there have still been no autopsies, no hearings, and no justice for these five babies.
The #JusticeForTheFive campaign aligns closely with SPL’s mission because it calls attention to the reality of elective later abortion – something pro-abortion activists like to pretend doesn’t exist. It also is an opportunity to find common ground with moderate pro-choicers. Most people are horrified by later abortion, and there is even more common ground on the issue of illegal partial-birth abortions.
Our nontraditional pro-life allies at Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising are coordinating a week of action in Washington DC to mourn and demand justice for these babies, and we want to help. If you are local or able to make it to DC please send an email so I can share the event details with you.

Will you donate so that we can have a Secular Pro-Life presence at these events?
I believe it is crucial to show that atheists and agnostics have a role in anti-abortion activism – and the only way to do that is to show up.
I’ve estimated the costs for this 3 day trip below.
