Join us at the Rehumanize Conference on October 15!
Our friends at Rehumanize International organize consistently amazing conferences. Rehumanize is a Consistent Life Ethic (CLE) group, which means their work encompasses a wide range of social ills. That includes abortion, along with threats to older humans like the death penalty and sex trafficking. Their conferences present a wonderful opportunity for activists in different spheres to come together and learn from one another. Secular Pro-Life has proudly sponsored every conference since its inception.
The next Rehumanize Conference — and the first post-Dobbs — will take place virtually on Saturday, October 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. The conference schedule has dropped, and we are excited to announce that Kelsey Hazzard, the founder and board president of Secular Pro-Life, is among the speakers! Kelsey is a lawyer and her topic is “Religious Liberty Justifications for Violence: A Legal Analysis.”
It’s time for a crash course in the legal history of religious liberty! Can a “Satanic abortion ritual” trump pro-life legislation? How does religious liberty impact efforts to protect life in the womb? Kelsey Hazzard provides a valuable introduction to a new frontier in abortion litigation.
Other sessions likely of interest to Secular Pro-Life readers include panel discussions on “Prenatal Ableism: Dealing with Difficult Diagnoses In-Utero and Infancy,” “Lowering Abortion Numbers Post-Dobbs: Public Policy and Practical Support for Pregnant People,” and “The Return of Rescue: Nonviolent Direct Action” (the latter featuring SPL board vice president Terrisa Bukovinac).
Tickets are pay-what-you-can starting at just $5. See you there!
