Planned Parenthood Golden Gate update

Less than a month ago, the national offices of Planned Parenthood revoked the charter of its San Francisco affiliate, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, which then changed its name to Golden Gate Community Health. At the time, the whole thing was rather mysterious: Planned Parenthood claimed “management problems,” which is a fairly puny offense given that Planned Parenthood Golden Gate had previously killed a teenager in a botched abortion and possibly covered up the rape of an 11-year-old.

Consider the mystery solved. Planned Parenthood wanted to keep its name clean, because “Golden Gate Community Health” is under investigation by the criminal division of the IRS.

The name change only happened on Friday. So if the group defrauded the IRS, it was a Planned Parenthood affiliate at all relevant times.
