I actually had someone tell me on YouTube that pregnancy from consensual sex isn't the mother's fault because people sometimes have sex for nonreproductive reasons.

Cde-Exactly! And people who bring up the connection between that idea and eugenicists in Nazi Germany, are accused of being alarmist!!

Having people on Twitter saying medical battery/rape makes it okay to force people to pay for abortions.

From another forum of mine, a news story that related to abortion managed to get derailed into a discussion about the ethics of circumcision. (It's a weird bunch. Just roll with it.) Among the particularly ironic quotes are these two that come from pro-choicers.

Pro-choicer wrote:
Pro-Lifer wrote:Because you can totally do whatever the hell you want to another living human being if they can't remember it.

1.) Pro-Lifer, I love you so much right now.

Other Pro-Choicer wrote:Yeah, would you all just shut the fuck up about the tragedy of TO BE FORESKIN, OR NOT TO BE FORESKIN and get back to the abortion wank? There are worse decisions a parent can make about their child and their child's body (and entire identity) without the child's consent.

I don't understand how some people's head's don't explode due to the sheer cognitive dissonance of this kind of doublethink. Circumcision is bad because you're doing something permanant to a child without that child's knowledge or consent. But abortion? A-OKAY! :D

Ha - yes

I often read the 'Comment is Free' opinion section in the very left-wing British newspaper 'The Guardian' www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree and they routinely do the usual:
- pro-lifers hate the living
- they are all Republican
- religious people are evil and stupid

One that almost made me laugh it so ridiculous, was that pro-lifers should think about where they come from as Hitler banned abortion. Wow. How do these cretinous people manage to get dressed in the morning?

To add to my comment that newspaper is currently bashing pro-lifers (and the religious, although these appear to be one and the same to the majority of posters on that newspaper's forums) with regards to the total abortion ban in Nicaragua.

Here's a great example of pro-abortion "logic."
I agree with the comment from Lauren: "Wow, Fred, that's a pretty huge strawman. I think you might be going for the world record."

Ah, it looks like the admins took it down. He basically said "if fetuses are persons, than your ultrasounds are CHILD PORN YOU CRAZY FETUS FETISHISTS."

Yeah.
